If you're anything into pop culture - whether it's K-Pop, the hypebeast scene, or just into cool Japanese artists - then you're probably familiar with Takashi Murakami and his most recognized creation, the Murakami flower. 

For us, the Murakami flower has always been one of our most favorite pop culture symbols. We've bought keychains, backpacks, and even a pillow with the iconic flower on it simply because we love it so much. Thus, in thinking about potential crochet items we could make that would pay homage to the Murakami flower, we eventually decided on recreating the beloved flower pillow as it serves as not only a statement home decor piece but also a colorful and comfy pillow.
